Synopsis
A grieving therapist begins to tell his clients exactly what he is thinking
Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making a huge difference in people’s lives, including his own. Films "Shrinking" share the best moments that defined their characters in Season 1 and find out who has the best Harrison Ford impression. When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel and Bill Lawrence asked how they got Harrison Ford on the show, Segel said that Goldstein had originally wanted a "Harrison Ford type," and prepared to audition for people like Ford. Segel told Goldstein that they should at least take it to Ford first, thinking he would immediately reject it, but at least other people would hear that the project had been brought to Harrison Ford, generating interest from other notable actors.

In the end, Goldstein talked to Ford and sold him the role. Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince her, but he was elated nonetheless. Now two episodes in, the show is promising, the chemistry between the characters is infectious and sometimes even strangely… heartwarming in a way that most shows aren’t, only reminding you of the show’s community with these elements.
Harrison Ford plays Dr
. I’m not sure if this accurately represents the therapist’s way of dealing with issues, but it certainly gives Jason Segel a shot at it. Rhodes, Jason’s boss and mentor of sorts. I wasn’t sure how his character would work on the show, but Rhoda’s anti-social likeness definitely plays into the personality that Ford meets.
And the music in this show is so good
pretty well, considering the more anxious elements of his character Han Solo in Star Wars, it just fits the show. Somewhat too relatable, Sean (Luke Tenney) plays the son of Jimmy (Segel) while he deals with his own family issues with his daughter, Alice (Lucita Maxwell)… The one here seems so vivid and the possibilities maybe (?) endless because I see Jimmy we are moving towards these things. Btw, this show’s intro theme is so good, I didn’t even skip it while watching episode 2…
